Helical divertor of TEXTOR-DED

The helical divertor of TEXTOR-DED in the light of H_alpha with the footprint of the strike points on the graphite divertor target plates.

The image was taken by a digital CCD camera which belongs to a spectroscopic observation system currently installed at TEXTOR as part of an ongoing PhD thesis. It is a direct imaging setup using a wide angle view to monitor e.g. hydrogen recycling and carbon source distributions at the divertor target plates.
