Screening provides setups to measure plant physiological parameters in an automatic and semiautomatic manner in high throughput with maximized temporal and spatial resolution. The relevant parameters growth, gas exchange and photosynthesis are measured with non invasive methods.
Controlled climates allow a description of single line plant performance → plant phenotyping

Methods and techniques
  • soil cultivation in multipallets
  • cultivation in hydroponics
  • agar cultivation for screening of roots and shoots
  • 2-D screening (projected leaf area)
  • 3-D screening (reconstructed leaf area)
  • laser range measurements (canopy profil)
  • gas exchange measurements
  • chlorophyll fluorescence imaging
