Image Magick

ImageMagick is a collection of image processing and display utilities.
Some of them need a X11 server to be run and some of them can be run from the command line.

The following modules may be called:
  • animate
    Display a sequence of images on any workstation running X
  • compare
    compares an image to a reconstructed image returns the difference between them as a distortion metric and as a new image visually annotating their differences
  • composite
    Composite images to create new images
  • conjure
    interprets and executes scripts in the Magick Scripting Language (MSL)
  • convert
    Converts an input file using one image format to an output file with a differing image format
  • display
    Display an image on any workstation running X
  • import
    Capture some or all of an X server screen and save the image to a file
  • identify
    Describe the format and characteristics of one or more image files
  • mogrify
    Transform an image or sequence of images
  • montage
    Creates a composite image by combining several separate images
