What are the conditions for temporay data in /work and /tmp?

For temporary user data it is recommeded to use $WORK (/work) with 11 TB total amount instead of /tmp. $WORK on JUBL is the same as $WORK on JUMP (like it is for the $HOME filesystems). Data will be held for 28 days normally. In case of overflow of $WORK data may be deleted earlier.

/tmp is very small (about 1 GB) and only available for programs runing on JUBL. Data will be held only for 7 days.

Programs started with mpirun on a BlueGene partition are not able to access /tmp. Jobs trying will be terminated.
