FEMLAB is an interactive environment for modeling and simulating scientific and engineering problems based on partial differential equations (PDEs).
The new version FEMLAB 3.0 offers some important new features compared to recent versions:
FEMLAB can be used as a stand-alone software, i.e. it is no longer mandatory to start it from within MATLAB. Nevertheless it is still possible to use it as a MATLAB toolbox in order to have direct access to FEMLAB's functions and data structures.
Since FEMLAB 3.0 is not available for AIX platforms only the former
version 2.3 is still installed on central AIX.
