Installation ------------ Nassi is distributed for various platforms in binary form only. The complete distribution is contained in a single gzipd tar-file named nassi.demo...tgz Here platform is one of rs6000,decalpha,sun4,sgi,hp800 or linuxelf. The default installation directory for Nassi is /usr/local/nassi. To install it there just do the following: mkdir /usr/local/nassi cd /usr/local/nassi zcat | tar xf - Now the nassi executable is located in /usr/local/nassi/bin. You may modify your PATH environment to include this directory or just copy or link the executable to any place you like. If you wish to install Nassi in a place different from /usr/local/nassi you may do so. Just set the environment variable NASSI_INSTPATH to the appropriate value. Nassi relies on this variable to find various fonts and bitmaps it needs during runtime. Limitations of the Demo version ------------------------------- The demo version of Nassi has the same functionality as the full version. The only restriction is, that the creation of output (Postscript, Tgif or Xfig) is limited to simple diagrams.
