The THE is an easy to use fullscreen editor with some additional facilities: editing of two or more files at once; using and defining of prefix commands; and creating of THE macros that are files containing a sequence of THE commands. Macros can be written in REXX if a supported REXX interpreter is available. THE is self-documenting that means at any time you can use the help command to get information about THE commands, variables and key bindings.
